Arsenal mini series

I got this after fondly recalling the Batman Plus Arsenal issue Devin Grayson wrote. I know Grayson has some unpopular ideas but I really didn't think they'd apply with Roy. This didn't turn out quite how I imagined it.

When did Artemis figure it out?

I'm recalling what we know of her history and drawing a blank for when she realized her actions changed Jason's life.

Theory on why Red Hood's helmets break

I know the real reason is for artistic purposes like showing his emotions or symbolism. But it does remind me of some thing I heard before.

This is a very short idea for why it happens and won't be a big deal. Still it's a way to make sense out of it.

The Faults of Alfred Pennyworth?

Alfred is someone we usually see as flawless compared to the rest of the bat family. But he's not perfect and I wish someone at DC would actually do something with this because the potential is fascinating. I love Alfred I just think he'd benefit from getting more focus on his flaws.

DC Solicits for November 2018

Doomsday Clock is on my list but there's not much to say at this point. I'm happy that Shazam has a title since its been requested for some time. I might get it.

One of the reasons I'm proud of Roy

I think I mentioned this bit in my review but I keep thinking about it when Roy had his big hero moment recently. I remembered reading Batman Plus Arsenal.

It was my introduction to Roy Harper. The comic touched on him being a dad, his flaws and his then loss of his mentor. But I loved how Roy interacted with Batman.

What I'll be reading

Sadly I didn't have anything like a meta planned for today to celebrate Jason's birthday. Iconic that it lands on the same month as the issue where it all goes to hell. I did realize that I haven't done one of these in awhile though.

I've been thinking over everything that happened with the Outlaws. There's something that's really been bugging me that I haven't seen anyone address.

It stuck me that Jason is in a position we don't often see him in. A lot of people wronged him and (three) seem to want redemption/forgiveness. But Jason might struggle with that and not be willing to get over it.

The long wait is finally over ! The main event of this issue was known about for months because of solicits. We even know details that will happen afterwards thanks to solicits but we have to see how that journey happens. Batman is confronting Jason which means there's a big fight ahead.
