Fables?

I've always heard Fables was good but I shy away from getting into it because there's so much to catch up with in the series. But I recently saw a play through of the game "The Wolf Among Us" and I like what I see. The book must be awesome.

    Bigby rocks. So does Snow White. And I have a sneaking fondness for Frau Totenkinder.

    I love Bigby and Snow in the game but I have no solid idea for Frau is. Maybe that's a good thing if I ever get into the series.
