Memory Suppression

Sometimes a time traveler meets up with a person they will know personally in the future or someone of great importance. This can lead to the person in question knowing a little too much about their own future and the traveler. That being the case Rip Hunter has planned ahead for such an occasion. Both Skeets and his Time Spheres have a limited Chronal Wave function that can "erase" a certain amount of time from a persons' recent memories. If they do remember anything at all it will be nothing more than a vague dream.

The Borstein Time Platform

Platform
The Time Platform was invented by Reinhold Borstein in the 21st century to return the temporally displaced 19th century mercenary Jonah Hex to his proper time. Since then it's been used by other travelers. Booster Gold and his friends found one in the 25th Century to transport them home. Currently Rip Hunter uses a model mainly for emergency escapes.

How it works: Usually the platform only works for one way trips since the traveler needs access to the control console. Rip Hunter has development a way to control the device via remote no matter where or when he is in time. Like most of his lab his platform only allows for the jumpers to enter if they are given clearance to be based on their genetic coding or one of his team gives their permission for the uninvited guests to enter.

Times Spheres and Time Packs

Photobucket
Time Spheres have been in the DC Universe since at least the Silver Age. Back then they were pretty common place in superhero comics from the Legion of Superheroes to Lois Lane hopping into one to visit Krypton before it exploded. Since then the use and invention of them has been harder to come by. After Crisis on Infinite Earths it's generally accepted that Rip Hunter invented them with his friend Jeff Smith sometimes credited in helping him. At present it seems that Rip Hunter is one of the few to be able to perfect a Time Sphere. Even the Time Stealers who have vast intellects at their disposal and members who regularly time travel could not perfectly duplicate one. Having borrowed one of the Time Stealers spheres Booster Gold commented that it was a "piece of junk" that was difficult to maneuver. Being able to use Rips' own devices made this far more apparent.

Time Pack
Post-Crisis during the Time Master mini series Rip Hunter invented what he called a Time Pack. Which would allow each wearer to make one trip to the desired timeframe and one return trip back. Smaller in size this time machine was much easier to conceal.

The Goodfellow Traveling Theatrical Troupe

Photobucket
Many know of the TIme Masters and the Linear Men, few knew of a group of time travelers that hid in plain sight. A group of twelve individuals from different points in time were brought together by a mysterious benefactor. Their mission was to help keep the timeline on the right path though time enforcement called the Linear Authority didn't approve of what they saw as meddling into their affairs. The group soon found that the best way to blend into what ever era they were in was to have the front of entertainers as any culture slip ups would be seen as eccentricities of actors.

The troupe was led by Lucas Goodfellow a former gambler who was given the role of guiding the others. Each member was given a Keystone, a device that only worked for the user. It was a means to send one way communications to it's members and used with the Gate of Eternity (an Aztec calender) it could send it's user directly to where they needed to go. Without it the traveler had to jump to several different points until they got where they needed to go. The only person to ever be able to go through the portals without being an owner of one was Walker Gabriel, much to the confusion of Goodfellow and his troupe.
