Another Bat-timeline that doesn't make sense

I was already confused enough when I read somethings James Tynion said and I'm more than a little confused with the timeline.

The Way JLI should end

I'm not talking about whether or not it has U.N. backing or couples getting together. It would be nice if we saw Rip and the others, but let's face it, that seems unlikely at this point. No, the one thing that I'd love to happen is for the group to have someone else join the group to help support it. Given OMAC if should be easy for it to happen. JLI should end with Maxwell Lord meeting Booster.

The Reboot Timeline is confusing

Okay so the JLA was supposed to form 5 years ago in DCU. But what about JLI? Did that happen for a year? Overlapping during a period where another league was around? That doesn't seem possible since Max expanded the league in ways that hadn't been done before. Did JLGL take place three years after JLI? Is it just happening now? If so then how did Booster know Ted? What about JSA if their weren't any real "superheroes" if Batman was just known as a legend for years and the JLA was a big thing? That means that the Titans didn't happen, right? So no Starfire/Nightwing? Were all the titan kids (Robert Long, Lian Harper, etc.) never born? I'd like to ask if the 90s' never happen but I see Liefield is back so...

They said all the important things with Batman (Killing Joke, Death in the Family, etc.) happened. Snyder said that he thinks of Bruce as being 37 but thinks he'll be 33 in the reboot. Lobdell mentioned the Teen Titans being 16. If the batkids still have the same age gap (not counting Damain who they might keep 10) then Dick would be 23, Jason is 18 ( *1), Tim is 16, Steph and Cass are both 17. Of course Jasons' age does make me wonder if their retcon the Talia thing since he'd be 17 at the time. I've heard conflicting stories if Barbara will be deaged but she was older than Dick.

*1 Originally Jason was 15 when he died (in Lost Years he mentions Bruce training him since he was at least 12) Tim started semi-shortly afterward at 13. To warn Cass that Steph was going down a dangerous path Bruce took her to Jasons' grave on his 18th birthday (Tim was 16 at the time.) But this gets confused, mainly because Loeb had Bruce state that Jason would be Dicks' age in Hush and Jim Lee (for some reason) gave Jason a streak of white hair. Since then people tend to forget that Jason is still a teenager.

Being "Erased" and Anomalies

Photobucket
Time Travelers who don't protect their identities find themselves at the mercy of assassins who would gladly remove those who would stand in their way. This could be done by two means. Killing a younger version of their foe or an ancestor to prevent their births. This is referred to as "erasing" someone from the timeline. Of course there are exceptions. Those that for some reason or another (usually due to something paradoxical in nature) continue to exist despite having no logical reason for still living. These anomalies might be created through a shift in events, diverged timelines, or other unusual temporal disturbance that affects the being.

Lady Chronos

Lady Chronos
Jia seemed like the girl of Ryan Chois' dreams but in the end she chose to marry the jock instead of the socially awkward Ryan. Upon hearing that her dead husband Alvin was stalking as a zombie Ryan offered his assistance only to learn that she wasn't as innocent as he assumed. Little did he know that Jia was responsible for him becoming the fourth Atom in a plot to ruin the reputation of Ray Palmer. Forming a partnership with David Clinton she took the name Lady Chronos. The two became lovers though Clinton did have his doubts of her loyalty having seen possible futures with her deception revealed.

In trying to recruit an unaware Ryan into joining her in a possible future where she ruled all of the timeline Jia showed her hand too soon. Her future self sent a message that warned her past self of the threat Ryan posed and Clintons' scheming against her. Jia seemed to know Booster Gold who she called by his real name when he arrived to assist the lost hero. Later the Chronos couple showed up as part of the Starro threat against Time Masters. Having no other option Booster agreed to let her go after she helped him and owe her a favor of her choosing. When the crisis was over Booster who had never met her before (though she was already familiar with him) wanted to know her story. Jia used her wiles again making yet another bold statement that they were lovers in her time. Rip Hunter angrily told her that he would never permit that to happen. She kissed Booster much to Chronos' annoyance saying it was just insurance. How much if any is true has yet to be revealed.

Powers: Lady Chronos has an ability she calls Void Time that freezes the victims body making it impossible for them to move much less defend themselves. How she came by these powers, whether they are natural or a product of her costume has never been stated. She likely can not time travel without the Time Watch both her and David Clinton use though she can open portals through time.

Her future?: Jia has told many stories of how things will play out. She has said that David Clinton will be/was her husband, that she still cared for Ryan, that Booster and her were together, etc. Not everything is clear with her, like her referring to Dwarfstar, a fake Atom like hero, as her first born. Whether he is in fact her son is questionable at best. What is known is that at some point in time she will gain control over the timeline only to have Booster Gold and an Atom rebel. Her body was found with Ryans' future corpse appearing to have stabbed him while he strangled her.

Time Masters mini Character Summaries: Dan Hunter

Between his Post-Crisis on Infinite Earths timeline and his Pre-Infinite Crisis storyline there was a Rip Hunter that would do anything he could to stop the world from a disaster that would be brought on by nuclear war thanks to a group called the Illuminati. The problem was that, at this juncture, there was no perfect means to time travel. There was one method that a single person could use to travel in the timestream and back before that method became dangerous for the traveler to use again. Thus Rip needed to research different ways to achieve his goal.

Needing to fund his time operations, and not getting anywhere with investors Rip Hunter asks his cousin Daniel Hunter for assistance. At first Daniel is more of a party goer than a serious investor. Over time he came to see how deep the Illuminati organization went and wanted to do his part.

Taking his own turn at trying to change the course of history Daniel teamed up with Tomahawk to halt what Rip believed would be the Illuminati assassinating George Washington and replacing him with a double. While on his mission Daniel fell in love with a woman named Laughing Fawn and decided to stay in the past. While there he promised to start the Hunter family fortune. Daniels' fate would led him to be skinned alive by the Lord Gerald Shilling. Daniel Hunter would be one of the three Heroes of the Rebellion to be celebrated in Gotham Town in December 31, 1799.

Working in the Time Frame in Solid Time

Over at Boosterrific.com they have a list of different ways time travel works. I'm not going to try to get into that those type of changes here. Instead I wanted to do a comparison between The Killing Joke and Booster Golds' No Joke. To see how Booster entering the picture works into the time frame we're given in the original story and how little it changes due to "Solid Time." Please excuse some of the blurriness for a couple scans, I had the Killing Joke hard back which isn't as easy to scan. It's also been re-colored though I'm not sure how much of this varied from original.

To start off we have the Joker getting the infamous carnival.

Note the rain.

Booster arrives at a different spot but at the same carnival. Now this would have to be right after Joker makes the "purchase" and gathered the freaks but before he visits the Gordons. I'm guessing he has some time to spare since he spends a good deal of it inflicting pain onto "Golden Rod." (That will always sound like either a C3P0 reference or something very perverted.)

Photobucket
The Joker and his misfit gang inflict various types of pain onto Booster, partly off panel including a roller coster racing at him while chained. When their done with him for the moment Skeets and him break free to try to make their way to the Gordons.

Despite their intrusion (and various attempts later on) Booster can not break the loop of events. Things are changed to based on his presence like him fighting the Joker but he can not stop what was shown in the Killing Joke at all.
