ON SALE 02.26.20
$7.99 US | 80 PAGES

I'm mostly mentioning this as a reminder to myself to get this but I really hope to see a lot of members of the Flash family. I think one of the major problems with DC right now is how they don't honor legacies like they used to.

BATMAN: PENNYWORTH R.I.P. #1
written by JAMES TYNION IV and PETER J. TOMASI
art by EDDY BARROWS, EBER FERREIRA and others
cover by LEE WEEKS
Alfred Pennyworth served the Wayne family for decades—even through the tragic loss of Bruce Wayne’s parents. His death at the hands of Bane is the only event that could possibly compare to that fateful night in Crime Alley, and it leaves Bruce at a similar crossroads. If Alfred was the glue that held the Bat-Family together, how will Batman deal with that all falling apart? And if the Caped Crusader is to be truly alone, he might either hang that cape up once and for all…or double down and carry on with this vengeful quest forever. Batman: Pennyworth R.I.P. #1 celebrates the life of one of the most important people in the history of Gotham City, while also addressing questions about what’s next.
ONE-SHOT
ON SALE 02.12.20
$4.99 US | 48 PAGES

I'm not planning on getting this one but it would be nice if we got to see all members of the bat family react even if it's only in their own titles. If Alfred had to go I'd like it to be more respectful than the last moment death we got for shock value. The sad thing is that I still feel nothing but apathy about this. Much like the Ric plot I'm waiting for this to be undone.

AMETHYST #1
written by AMY REEDER
art and cover by AMY REEDER
card stock variant cover by STEPHANIE HANS
Following her triumphant reintroduction in the pages of Young Justice, the new Amethyst miniseries follows teenager Amy Winston—a.k.a. Princess Amethyst—as she returns to her magical kingdom to celebrate her 16th birthday in style. The only problem? Her kingdom is missing, her subjects have vanished, and none in the realm of Gemworld—even her best friend, Lady Turquoise—remain loyal to her house! Alone and dejected, Amy’s forced to find new allies and confront dark secrets on an all-new quest to the farthest reaches of Gemworld.

I liked the last series and still haven't gotten around to reading the original yet. I might check this out at some point especially since Bendis isn't writing this. Still it's a shame that the New 52 version was retconned. I really liked most of that series.

DCEASED: UNKILLABLES #1
written by TOM TAYLOR
art by KARL MOSTERT and TREVOR SCOTT
cover by HOWARD PORTER
card stock variant cover by FRANCESCO MATTINA
Horror movie homage card stock variant cover by YASMINE PUTRI
The blockbuster DC series returns to answer this question: What did the villains do when the heroes failed and the world ended?
Spinning out of the dramatic events of 2019’s smash hit, writer Tom Taylor returns to this dark world with a street-level tale of death, heroism and redemption. Led by Red Hood and Deathstroke, DC’s hardest villains and antiheroes fight with no mercy to save the only commodity left on a dying planet of the undead—life!
ON SALE 02.19.20
$4.99 US | 1 OF 3 | 48 PAGES

I have mixed feelings about this. Yay for more Red Hood. Boo for more Deathstroke. I wish the other Outlaws were in this and I don't think Jason (or Cass) will make it out. The odds are against them since this seems to happen after the heroes from the main series left Earth. Which is a pity since I'd like Alfred and Damian to be reunited with their family. Were they just abandoned? Why didn't they join up with the family?

AQUAMAN #57
written by KELLY SUE DeCONNICK
art and cover by ROBSON ROCHA and DANIEL HENRIQUES
variant cover by KRIS ANKA
In this issue, Mera and Aquaman welcome their very own Aquababy! In the wake of Black Manta’s attack on Amnesty Bay, Aquaman encounters a new crisis when Mera unexpectedly goes into labor…and things don’t look good for the queen of Atlantis. Don’t miss this historic, emotional issue that kicks off a bold new era for Aquaman!
ON SALE 02.19.20
$3.99 US | 32 PAGES

I want to be optimistic about this one not worry about history repeating it's self or the baby being sent to the future to come back as an adult. This is a maybe, but DC has really screwed with hero kids. ...I really want Wally to get his kids back but that's another book.

RED HOOD: OUTLAW #43
written by SCOTT LOBDELL
art by CHRISCROSS and SCOTT HANNA
cover by DAN MORA
variant cover by PHILIP TAN and MARC DEERING
We’re living in strange times! Magic and metahumans are everywhere, but good and evil are easy to spot—right? The heroes of the world would never let anything happen to it…unless it happened already. Red Hood and the Outlaws are about to discover that the line between moral and immoral is very thin indeed.
ON SALE 02.26.20
$3.99 US | 32 PAGES

I thought Artemis and Jason were getting their costumes back? It took me awhile to realize that blond woman was Isabel because I totally forgot about her. I assume this is confirmation that Jason isn't leaving her for Artemis. But it looks like we will be having the awkward "girlfriend, plus woman you pined after meet the ex you sort of trapped after she tried to murder you" talk.

The solicit it's self is odd, kind of vague since the Outlaws should somewhat aware of this stuff. They have dealt with metas, magic and immortality before. Are we learning something new? With Artemis and Bizarro holding Jason back while Isabel reaches for Essences' sword I can only guess this relates to something he doesn't want them to learn.

Still no Three Jokers or apparent fall out from Doomsday Clock, but more Leviathan, Infected and City of Bane story.
