The Pale Bishop has declared a holy war on all emotion—and his minions are about to invade Earth! Only the power of fear stands against them. In an attempt to bolster his defensive line, Sinestro has dispatched yellow rings across our world, adding many heroes and villains to the ranks of the Sinestro Corps!
I have no idea if this will reflect the story inside or is just a cover. Remember when everyone was thrilled with the NOTO cover with Tim Drake and he only appeared in one panel? I'm a little leery of Bunn given his recent history but this seems like a cameo issue/arc. The cover does bring up some intriguing ideas.
Deathstroke being on here makes sense.
Harley Quinn? She's dangerous yes but has anyone feared her as much as other rogue? More than them? She does seem to have taken a darker turn in her books.
Superman and Wonder Woman? I suppose people, as in normal people, fear them more in this canon.
Jason? I'm reminded of his speech to Batman about fear so this does have some sense. I do wonder if Bruce can't get his ring again because he's not in the Batman state of mind.

If nothing else, I'll be checking this issue to see how accurate is the cover. It should be fun even if the idea is getting really played out by now.
ReplyDeleteThe best part is Jason wearing the Hoodie.
Did Blackest Night happen the same way in this canon? It does have potential. If it was something that was continued in his series I could be fun. I believe Jasons' the first bat kid to get a ring in canon, at least a main one.
