DC Solicits September 2019

I was hoping for one title but I have another to look forward to. Not much to say in general about these.

HARLEY QUINN AND POISON IVY

Do Harley and Ivy really need a mini series when Harley has her own series? At least do a Ivy mini without Harley. But the solicit implies their wanted by the law which HIC just ignores. I would have felt this way regardless but this is especially annoying since Booster Gold gets nothing. After everything King has done to Booster and Skeets they need a different writer to fix it all.

DCEASED: A GOOD DAY TO DIE #1
written by TOM TAYLOR
art by LAURA BRAGA, DARICK ROBERTSON and others
cover by RYAN SOOK
variant cover by FRANCESCO MATTINA
horror movie variant cover by YASMINE PUTRI
While the mainstays of the Justice League—Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman—battle the worldwide infection in the pages of DCEASED, a group of other heroes work to stop the impending apocalypse—no matter who they have to kill!
Mr. Terrific assembles a motley group of surviving heroes including Mister Miracle, Big Barda, John Constantine, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold as they attempt to fight back against the tide of death. Can this ragtag group save the world where the Justice League has thus far failed?
ONE-SHOT | ON SALE 09.04.19
$4.99 US | 48 PAGES

If Tom Taylor didn't do a lot of stories that kill off the leads I'd buy this. Booster might be screwed over with his tech.

FLASH FORWARD #1
written by SCOTT LOBDELL
art by BRETT BOOTH and NORM RAPMUND
cover by EVAN “DOC” SHANER
variant cover by INHYUK LEE
blank variant cover
His name is Wally West—and he was the Fastest Man Alive. That is, until the Multiverse was rewritten without him or his family in it. Wally returned and tried to make it work, but the damage was done. Spinning out of the events of HEROES IN CRISIS, follow the man who called himself Flash on an adventure to find redemption in a cosmos that has fought so hard to destroy him.
ON SALE 09.18.19
$3.99 US | 1 OF 6 | 32 PAGES

I haven't read the comments about this or gotten around to reading the last creative team up with the Flash/Speed Buggy issue yet. But I believe that if Lobdell has the creative freedom he needs it will be great. He certainly didn't have that with Nightwing. Booth is a huge Wally fan and seems excited about this project. I don't think he'd be involved if he wasn't going in feeling positive about it. I'm not a big fan of his art style but I'm planning on getting this.

DEATHSTROKE

Slade is back already? Well there goes my interest in this arc.

LOIS LANE

I'm going to be honest, I don't want to read about a 17 year old Jon. I was hoping that was going to be limited to Bendis.

RED HOOD: OUTLAW #38
written by SCOTT LOBDELL
art by KENNETH ROCAFORT
cover by DAN MORA
variant cover by PHILIP TAN
This is the Year of the Villain, and Red Hood has been tasked by Lex Luthor with training the worst teens in the DC Universe to become the super-villains of tomorrow. But while these kids may think they’re the future of villainy, they’re about to learn they may already be doomed. Reiser is rampaging through a S.T.A.R. Labs facility, unleashed like never before. Can the Red Hood see DNA, Cloud Nine, Devour and the enigmatic Babe in Arms safely home, or is this one field trip no one should have gotten permission to go on? Plus, where in the world are Artemis and Bizarro now?
ON SALE 09.25.19
$3.99 US | 32 PAGES

I'm happy to see Reiser but is he really a teen? I thought he was older. I guess he lost control of himself which might make for a Bizarro connection. Babe in Arms, huh? Are Artemis and Bizarro back home yet? Is the release date wrong again?
