What's in the box?

The biggest question every reader of the TT annual had.

Damian took a box he thought he could use against Jason but we the readers have no idea what's inside. Jason himself took it and if we see it again it will probably be in RHATO/RHO since it has to do with him. Or maybe Jason will turn up later in TT.

I've seen a few theories on this online:

1. It's a tracker (which now seems very unlikely.)
2. It has to do with his birth family (Photos or DNA results.)
3. Related to the All Caste, an magical item or something that can stop magical beings.
4. Something that can trigger Jason's PTSD.

Here's what little information we have on it.

The oddly decorative box was in the possession of Alfred as he told Damian off for going through his things. I'd assume it was given to Alfred for safe keeping since he's the most level headed one but Jason asked Damian where he got it. Maybe he didn't know who had it or maybe he's wondering if Alfred gave it up. Alfred almost refused to let Damian leave with it since he knew it would lead to bad things.

According to Jason even Bruce won't stoop so low. I've seen some wonder if Jason was referring to something he did or that Bruce wouldn't use it against him. If it was PTSD related...well Damian has stooped that low before. In fact he attempted to trigger Jason during their fight.

Jason claims that's inside is his business and "bigger than this whole crusade." Does he mean Bruce's mission? His? Is it a dangerous item that he was supposed to protect? Jason seems to be aware of what the item is meaning that it's a little unlikely that it's PTSD related. Maybe it's "bigger" in the sense of how it's important to him personally? Maybe related to Bruce finding out how Jason returned from the dead and what it did to him? We have had hints that Jason knows something but refuses to accept it. Alfred could have been holding it for Jason until he was ready.

A tracker is kind of moot since it shouldn't have anything to do with giving Damian an potential edge in their fight. #2 and #4 don't make much sense if he knows what the item is. With the All Caste...it feels like that reveal to the family should have been a bigger deal. Sure Niceza had Tim offhandedly mention Jason's All Caste training during DOTF but he didn't seem to know what that meant. Damian certainly should have been more on guard if he knew about it. Whatever it is has to be small and not fragile enough to break when Jason slaps it out of Damian's hand.

It can't be the weapon Ollie was thinking about giving Roy before he died that could take down the JL. I doubt it's whatever Roy was working on in the RHATO Annual. My best guess is that it's something new that's going to be added onto Jason's story rather than something we've seen before or that's been hinted at in past stories. If it's something dangerous that could put innocent lives around them in jeopardy Damian needlessly risked them to get at Jason. Any theories?
