here if you don't want to download it digitally or go to a LCS to get one. It's not long but he does briefly talk about working on the series.
- Lobdell mentions how Jason didn't have any real friend prior to the start of the first series. How the reader can see Jason change and different sides of him throughout his run on the character. It's true and it's why I say he's the best writer the character ever had. He expands Jason Todd is in a natural way and explores things no other writer bothers to look into like his family.
- I've seen people talk about the "going solo" bit of this interview and not getting why Jason would want revenge on the new of Underlife. Lobdell could shock us but for now I think it's mainly a goal that can keep Jason focused. While the organization might not have wronged him personally, that we know of, he doesn't like what they represent. Their basically a target for all his pent up anger after losing his teammates, the situation with Bruce, learning about his dad and Roy's death.
- I'm curious if Lobdell is just stating Jason has an extremely high pain threshold as a fact or we're going to see it soon. Either way it makes sense.
- He's said we'll see the other Outlaws too.
- It makes sense that Jason won't just stay out of Gotham entirely. He still went there before he officially made amends with the family in the first volume. Jason and Bruce will be meeting out of costume and it will emotionally devastate us. It sounds like it's happening soon since be gave it into the editor already. If Bruce is the one to tell Jason about Roy it means he's probably going to be an insensitive ass about it. Maybe he'll threaten Jason if he doesn't stay out of the HIC investigation? Jason might even purposely push Bruce. Or they will just act cold towards each other.
