There's still a lot of untapped potential with his character.
Dc wants to keep his dad as Captain Boomerang? Fine, Owen can get a new ID. His age doesn't even matter if they want to keep Barry's rogues in a certain age range since time travel was involved in sending Owen back. Just ignore the out of character stuff from Blackest Night and focus on the family stuff.
Owen is the half brother of Bart Allen and the son of one of the Rogues. Why hasn't that been explored more? That was one of the moments from the Johns' Flash run where I was frustrated because I knew it wouldn't amount to anything. How would Owen and Bart even deal with the other? Digger thought the Rogues would kill Owen if they knew who his mother was. How would Wally and the rest of the family react? I still want to know.
