Greg Capullos' Jason model?

Apparently I wasn't the only one that thought his Jason felt a little off. It was suggested (though not by Capullo) that this design is based off of Batman Under the Red Hood voice actor Jensen Ackles. While I'm not totally convinced the clothes and the hair look close.

The Return of Ted Kord and "classic" Question?

Looks that way as Grant Morrisons' Multiversity has the Charlton characters come together in the first one shot.

Is it real or is it a dream?

Greg Capullo has another teaser shot, though this one is more interesting.

SPOILER-ish thoughts under the cut

No, their not related

I get that people are exited over this teaser pic in Red Hood and the Outlaws #0 but come on let's be logical. Some of these suggestions I'm reading don't even make sense.

SPOILERS for the surprises in RHATO #0.

Writer clears up confusion with Teen Titans #0

Wow, the editors are still changing things without telling the writers. A hint of bad things to come from DOTF and one other thing I loved seeing mentioned.

Interview here. SPOILERS for TT of course.

Overview of Zero Issues

In order of favorite to least.

Teen Titans #0

The issue that split the internet in half before it was even out. By the way this entire issue is about Tim Drake's origin, Bunker and Skitter don't have theirs explored.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #0

I held off on this one for a couple of reasons. After the Nightwing issue I didn't feel like reading any other zero issues for awhile. But the main reason was my leeriness at writers touching Jasons' backround, even one that's been writing him for a year. Not just because there are certain nuances that get over looked or misunderstood. In general writers take the poor kid growing up in a rough neighborhood in directions I rather not see. Plus Lobdell did warn this was a sad story that's not easy to read.

Batman and Robin #0

For some reason this one took awhile to come in. Will I like this better than the Robin arc?

Jasons' adoption mention in DCnU

The talk about Cassandra Cains' adoption and the new 52 made me think of this. It might be explained more in the RHATO #0 issue but I'm holding off on reading that for a bit. I thought it was weird that Nightwing #0 didn't mention any adoption for Dick and I don't think he was Bruces' ward. (Have to re-read that section at some point.) Another fan mentioned that in the new 52 only Damain can have the title of son of Bruce Wayne. This confused me because it's brought up in RHATO a number of times. Usually in passing by Jason thinking of Bruce as a father but there was one panel where they mention what his relationship to Bruce is.

In RHATO #8 there's a flashback of a meeting with Tim and Jason exchanging information. While Jasons' flippantly refers to Bruce as "dad" Tim drives the point home on Jasons' connection to him.

Jason Todd: Hiding in plain sight. "Dad" would be so proud.
Tim Drake: Technically he's not your dad anymore. Not since you were declared legally dead, anyway.

I don't think that's correct from a legal stand point, you might not legally exist but you'd still be considered someones' adopted kid. But anyway if Dicks' not a ward or adopted then this still means Jason was the first bat kid Bruce adopted. On three different earths too.

Interviews on DOTF tie ins and an article on Amethyst

From the writers of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and the Outlaws and Teen Titans. Some hints at how Death of the Family will affect Barbara, Dick, Jason and Tim.

Plus a piece on the troublesome part of Sword of Sorcery #0. A few spoiler filled thoughts on the article.

The Robin Uniforms in the New 52

It was fairly obvious early on one of the changes the relaunch would have was new Robin costumes. What changed and what stayed the same.

Nightwing #0

Wow. Let's just say I can't wait to read what everyone has to say about this one. Or to put another way--

Batwoman #0 (Well the 2nd zero issue this series had)

When Bruce adopted Cass

I think it was mentioned later on, I want to say in Gates of Gotham (maybe?), but this was when Bruce revealed his intentions to adopt Cass. A lot of people don't know about this one because it was in the horrible mini series after her "drugged into being a bad guy by Slade" period and just before R.I.P. I don't believe Bruce has spoken on panel with her since this scene. Oh and what Tim/Robin means by Dick not being happy? Dick was written as a jerk that basically kept calling Cass a killer. It made no sense.

Just to recap: Bruce adopted Dick, Jason, Tim, and Cass. Damian is his bio kid and DCnU Huntress is his kid from Earth 2. Extra points to those that can put the kids in order by who was adopted first to last.

Sword of Sorcery #0

I've been lucky enough to steer clear of most of the spoilers this month. I'm starting this week with a new book starring Amethyst. A character I never read in another comic so I'll be seeing this whole thing with new eyes.

Batwoman #0 (the second one) preview

I wasn't thrilled with the last trade of this series so I almost forgot I was getting this. Seeing the preview reminds me of some of the things I missed from this title.

Worlds' Finest #0

Sit tight folks this one's a headache.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Green Arrow #0

My first official zero month read and the first page already endears me to it more than any of the bat-scans I've seen. Why? Because it doesn't use any "5 years ago" dates to staple anything down. It's "several years ago." Which is good since I'm going to ignore all of the dates anyway.

Batman and Robin #0 preview

Although I was less than thrilled the last time I got this title I'm collecting all the Robin books this month. I'm not sure how to feel about Damian in the preview but I haven't liked how Talias' been written since she become his mom. Hopefully I'll be surprised in a good way with the rest of the issue.

DC talks about the 52 and Zero issues

Some highlights from the DC Baltimore Comic-Con talk. I whited out what may be considered spoilers.

On the subject of “Zero Month,” DiDio said, “The goal for this was basically not to reset the button, but to answer some questions.” He later said the zero issues were created "to fill in the blanks of the past and set up the mysteries of the future.”

The Green Arrow (we’ll see him again on Earth-2), Booster Gold (We’ll see him in the “Justice League of America”), Ted Kord and Tim Drake (who will pop up as a major part of the Joker arc, according to Snyder) were all mentioned.

I'm not sure if the first part is a misprint since the character has an ongoing in the main 'verse as for the second I'm not sure I want to see what Geoff Johns does with the character in JLA as I'd rather have Booster stay in JLI as leader than be dragged into JLA. Talk about a demotion. Tim Drake playing a big part? Didn't they say that during Night of the Owls when he only made a cameo in RHATO and showed up in one panel of the book they promoted him for?

How come the Green Lanterns get all the figures?

Because new GL Simon Baz already has a new figure coming out. (Yes, I'm sure Geoff Johns had something to do with it as he's helped designed figures before.)

Which Green Lantern are you?

Just a silly little thing DC did on their blog.

Phantom Lady #1

I never read anything about the Phantom Lady before (except Infinite Crisis appearance. Yeesh.)I thought about it and figured it might be fun to read more female lead books, even if this is a mini series. This is a very short review since I don't have too much to say about it.

Green Arrow #0 Preview

This weeks' DC previews are up and while I wouldn't get this one in the mail for awhile a couple of things caught my interest.

No real spoilers, mainly discussing his age.
