Roy Rumors

Complied together here are some possible clues. I decided include more with what could be the lead up to this story if this is true.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD for a certain event

If Roy is Leviathan there's a lot of baggage that I don't want to get into (at least not now) ba
sed around what DC is doing to the original Teen Titans. Or how I would feel about it. But in a weird way it might explain a vibe that some later Roy stories had that I never understood. Because there's a lot of unresolved issues with how he's treated by other heroes. Sure that's to be expected with Green Arrow but what about his friends? Or heroes like Batman?

There was some noticeable bitterness when Roy was last with the Titans. He had some drama around Donna and the team disbanded because of the Justice League. Roy did not like how the Titans bended to the will of the JL and was dismissed when he discovered a serious threat to the world. At one point Donna (who was under house arrest by the JL) called Dick and Wally. After Cheshire had drugged Roy and the JL couldn't find evidence to back up Roy's claim his friends assumed he was abusing substances again.

His last Titans arc highlights how good Roy is as he's able to figure out a conspiracy that the JL manage to miss but this also shows in how he approaches the Wally and Dick fight. He knows his friends well enough to misdirect and take out the biggest threat first: Wally. From there he throws back Dick's apparent need to please the JL/Batman back at him. Roy realizes that he can't beat Dick in hand to hand but he knows his friend well enough to understand which buttons to push.

You can see he's not happy with Dick going along with the decision to end their team amoung other things. Roy not being happy with the state of things has been hinted at in other titles too. RHATO had Killer Croc admit that Roy was having a harder time trying not to relapse and Flash War had Roy frustrated by being kept out of the loop. Even though he saved the world his efforts weren't acknowledged outside his team. Roy wasn't asked to join the new Titans and had no idea what was going on with Wally. Of course he also struggled with Ollie since his mentor still had trouble completely trusting him.

In RHATO Jason has kept his distance from Roy in fear of ruining his pal's chances at becoming a greater hero. When they finally meet again it's not under the best of circumstances as Roy stops Batman from taking Jason to Arkham. He literally witnessed Batman beating up his barely resisting friend and spent almost a month trying to help Jason recover from the damage that was inflicted on him. During this time he also agonizes over not only dealing with falling off the wagon but how he can possibly help Jason. He asks Jason to go with him to Sanctuary (Jason doesn't go opting to look into a mission for him) and dies at the rehab center at the hands of his long time friend Wally West.

From what little I know of Event Levithan the lead villain is doing questionable actions and many assume that it's Jason. The costume even seems to have a stylized red helmet. Why would Roy do that? To make a point? While it might seem a little far fetched DC has recently been making the original Titans look bad. Roy has been able to weed out secret organizations pretty well as seen in his Titans arc and in his last appearance with Jason. We'll be seeing how this goes soon enough but despite writing this I'm still unsure if I completely believe this.
