I have a lot since their different from the first version of the Bana-Mighdall.
Why didn't the Amazons Akila introduced to Artemis know her?
I know Artemis basically told Jason that she never let anyone besides Akila get close to her before the Outlaws but none of them knew her? One of their greatest warriors and someone close to their Shim'Tar? Exactly how many Amazons are there?
How do these Amazons repopulate?
One the big difference between these Amazons and the Themyscirans was the whole child birth thing and immortality. The Themysircans have had kids in Rebirth canon despite being immortal (well at least two have.) Artemis speaks of her foremother meaning she wasn't there when the Amazons split. I think that was originally Lobdell's intent as I remember him stating she was pretty old in interviews.
But she mentioned a mother which begs the question of how she came to be. What about her father? Who was he and what happened to him ? In old canon they took men as slaves for labor and sex. It seems that the higher up you were the better choice you'd get from the breeding stables. Do they all just travel around to meet men for this purpose or is it more "high tech"?
Are they weapon makers ?
Previously they made some of the most advance weapons in the world. Their services were seen as pretty invaluable. They seem a little cut off from the world although not to the point they don't repopulate.
What happens to the baby boys that are born?
Presumably their not living him Bana-Mighdall as we never hear a mention of men.
What happened to Artemis' mother?
She doesn't appear to be around any more but I'm curious.
Did the gods abandon them or not?
Both Akila and Artemis say they were abandoned but we see signs that they weren't. Artemis speaks with a goddess when she first sees the Bow of Ra. The gods chose Akila and she has powers as a Shim'Tar.
If Artemis is worthy of the Bow why doesn't she get the powers Akila has as Shim'Tar ?
I presume it's because she wasn't chosen by the God's but does the fact the bow didn't work properly with Akila mean they chose poorly ?
What happened to Akila to make her look so beat up when she was chosen?
Did they test her themselves?
Why was that rider(s) about to get through the sandstorm ?
This happened in old canon too but I'm still not sure how the gods worked there either.
That's just a few of the questions I'm curious about and things that would be cool to see answered at some point.
