Superman #38

Are getting an explanation for what's up with the time travelling?

SPOILERS AHEAD

Starfire takes her team to the location Jon gave her and they find Superman. They keep Jon away from Clark which makes his powers go crazy. Tim arrives with Raven and Gar only to deal with a very angry Superman. The Titans of Tomorrow help contain Jon's power with the TT. Tim "sacrifices" himself and apparently rights at least part of the timeline? I think?

Overall: I don't know if DC wants us to dislike Damian or sets out to prove why he's a bad choice for leading. It seems like these three titles have tried to prove that in various issues but at least Damian attempted to take Jon away from Tim in TT. Here he decides to order Jon to attack first when Starfire, Aqualad and Kid Flash are clearly attempting to speak with them. Jon, who isn't even a member of the team trusts them more than their supposed leader. Damian actually does nothing to solve the problem, he doesn't even seem to have a plan beyond running away.

I have no idea where this "severed body parts will travel through time to reattach to the body" thing came from but I sure haven't read it before. I don't like it one bit. Just writing it makes me wince. This arc does further prove that not every hero is cut out to be a time traveler.

Damian yelling at Tim for screwing with the timeline is both hilarious and aggravating considering his actions in Lazarus Contact. At least Tim's actions make some kind of sense with how time travel is supposed to work. He had a clear objective to prevent something that happened later. Damian stopped the wrong Flash's heart which shouldn't of done anything except strand them in the past. I don't know why Tim was sent back into the timeline or why that changed anything. There's no way he even thought it would.

The best thing about this issue is seeing the trio Titans of Conner, Bart and Cassie interact with others. Cassie instantly trying to save Jon. Bart running with NU Wally. Conner with Clark and Jon. It's also good to see that their not evil like they were in Johns arc. This was more entertaining than last issue. It was also more confusing. What's to prevent Jon from blowing up again? It solved nothing and just delayed a potential tragedy. Technically speaking Jon freaking out a second time was Tim's fault for what he did to Clark.
