This is why I say it

One of the reasons anyway. A lot of Bat writers use Jason and something is ususally off. The Kate debate and Jason's characterization don't work for me overall but I don't want to discuss that.

SPOILER AHEAD

As this poster says everyone is getting along until Jason arrives. This along with the DET team appearing in RHATO really cements why Jason has no real faith in being family with them in a way that matters. Tynion could have used it to build up his case later but nope.

Dick talks about hanging out with Tim when Jason had to pretty much trick him into hanging out in the Annual. (I get the previous strain but not this for a follow up.)

Damian doesn't snap at Barbara despite her poking fun at his height. The big sister mention to Tim feels a little too fanfic like to me. Has she been close to either of them since becoming Bagirl again?

Why is it such a shock Jason is there? He's been working with them for awhile. DAMIAN who's killed while being Robin--twice--is already with them. It's like the RHATO Annual with Dick doesn't matter, which isn't surprising as other RHATO related bits are ignored but it feels like a huge step back. They all know he's not killing in Gotham so what's the problem?

This is partly about whether Kate deserves to be stripped of the bat symbol and Bruce has had no problem with Jason using it even when he killed wearing it. Without Jason there would be no one willing to speak out with that experience as Damian has little to actually say. Not one of them seems happy to see Jason and even Tim--TIM--didn't expect Jason to be invited?
