Happy Fathers' Day!

What better way to celebrate it than to remember one of the best if most unconventional father/son relationships in comics?

Booster Gold and Rip Hunter!

Remember how Rip was trying to help Booster become the greatest most selfless hero of all time? How about how annoying that could be?

Then the utter amazement when Booster was able to do something by himself?

I miss these two more than any other DC relationship.

  1. Me too. Man, they had such a great relationship. Every once in a while Booster pops up for a second or two, but it's just not the same.

  2. I liked that it was unusual with Rip as the mentor and his existence showing the kind of man Booster is. It was complex too since Booster struggled bonding with someone he doesn't think he'll ever know and the rules their supposed to follow. Rips' own struggle to do what he has without breaking his relationship with Booster was subtly done too.

I'd love to see them both (hopefully in September) and hope they don't do anything like make Rip a Cyborg again.
