Five Years Later?

According to Bleeding Cool this might be another thing from DC next year.

Basically like Villains Month there will be a month (likely September) that all the books go five years into the future. The normal titles would go back to the previous timeline the next month but there would be a weekly series written by Dan Jurgens, Brian Azzarello, Keith Giffen and Jeff Lemire.

On the one hand I'm not really up for another event especially since this would happen while Batman Eternal was going on. I'm not really sure I want to see some of these futures if some of the same writers are still on board (for the normal series not the weekly.) Then again it might be worth it if this is a story that has to do with time travel or dare I hope Booster Gold and/or Rip Hunter.

  1. Oh sheesh, not another gimmick? Whatever happened to just telling stories, without onerous editorial messing around?

  2. Yeah the anniversary event thing is wearing thin. If they have to do it they should do a mini series to celebrate. Not stop storylines of their ongoing series.
