Rebirth Rumors

It'll be interesting to see how many of these are true. If nothing else these things are good conversation pieces.

Potential SPOILERS ?

Damian Wayne leads the Teen Titans. Not in favor of this so I hope it's not true. I wouldn't be able to take the book seriously. What happened to Tim?

Books that are rumored to be cancelled are Grayson, Midnighter, Batman/Superman, Superman/Wonder Woman, Starfire, Doctor Fate and Black Canary.

Tom King writing Bi-Weekly Batman. Someone told me he claimed to be doing something to promote Dick Grayson further, I wonder if this is connected. Who knows since plans get changed and you never know what rumors are true. Not thrilled if it is because I haven't enjoyed much of what I read so far.

Titles all getting relaunched to #1 but will have a Rebirth issue prior to set things up.

  1. I believe I have read this new rebirth being known as after birth... which I have to admit, made me snicker.

  2. I think I did too and the mental images of the event that would be made me smile.

  3. Rich has been reporting so many weird stuff related to Rebirth that is actually making me fearful of it. Even if only half of the rumors are true, it makes abundantly clear that there's no real direction nor logic setting a direction for the new books/status quo. Just a lot of "let's throw stuff to the wall and see what it sticks"

That being said, I do hope the reports about Nightwing returning are true. I'm so not a fan of Grayson and the direction they're taking Dick's character at the moment. However, the most pressing issue is that if the rumor about Starfire moving up to the Titans is true, then it means that Jason and Roy time together is coming to an end.

  4. Me too. I've also heard that many creators are competing for the same jobs from others who claim to know people in the biz. One of them said that they were still figuring out what direction they want not too long ago.

I like Dick Grayson/Nightwing but lately it feels like DC wants me to hate him. I'm in favor of dropping the spy bit too. Jason seems to be getting the short end of the stick lately. What they do might determine if I read DC for awhile. A lot of characters I love are either missing, taking bad directions or in books I refuse to read. Without at least one regularly showing up I'm going to lose interest.
