Someone told me about another badly written characterization for Jason and I'm wondering if there's a way to stop this annoying trend.
Because I'm tired of writers using personal bias and unresearched characterizations. It made pre-Flashpoint Jason Todd, and others, a mess. The character is usually one of the most requested (ironically) in various polls and for a solo series. We told DC we didn't want him as a villain when they tried to shove that idea down our throats.
DC doesn't promote his book, they have many current bat writers write him out of character and no editors tell them no. Surely there has to be something we can do. I know I'd like to read multiple appearances by Jason without fear of stumbling into more bad writing.
BTW I'm not usually the letter campaign kind of person but this is beyond frustrating.

If we're talking about the New Talent Showcase, let's just see how it goes. Granted, the information we know so far doesn't lend much confidence. But yes to the letter campaign if this trend doesn't change anytime soon. If we can get this out to as many Jason fans as possible...
ReplyDeleteSure, it'd be good to wait a little while for that comic. But I've been annoyed with this in general for awhile. It almost feels like a personal vendetta because I thought businesses wanted to make money.
ReplyDeleteJason is popular but their not capitalizing on it and reducing his character to punching bag most of the time. It's not even the Wolf Effect because they never make him look impressive.
