Question

Since the topic of text size came up in the past I was wondering something. I was wondering if whiting out spoilers bugs anyone. Not really tags per se but you can read it just fine if highlighted. I've been thinking of doing it for things that are too short to fit under cuts. Like for example:

Booster Gold is actually Michael Jon Carter and his son is Rip Hunter.

Yes? No?

  1. That works a treat for me - I usually read your blog via Google Reader, coming over to post comments and have found that your longer posts appear in their entirety, despite your use of jump cuts.

You might want to go to Settings > Other > Site Feed and where it says Allow Blog Feed select Until Jump Cut. As I'm due to get Captain Atom and Blue Beetle this week, I've had to skip over those posts to avoid the spoilers whereas if you use Allow Blog Feed > Until Jump Cut I (and anyone else who uses a feed reader!) wouldn't have the risk of reading spoilers accidentally.

    Just a thought! :)

  2. Sorry about that. I didn't realize they did that. I always wondered if the format on other computers was different than mine since things like the text size don't really change for me.

I'll see if I can do that. It usually takes awhile for my it to work on my blog.

  3. I must say for me the cuts always have worked. I hope you get it all figured out to your liking and your reviews get back up. I was looking forward to your thoughts on Blue Beetle.

  4. I can have them back up by Saturday, is that alright for everyone?

  5. I reread that. I wasn't trying to be rude and I am afraid it may have come off like that. Whenever you get a chance to put them up I look forward to reading them (well blue beetle since I read the other).

  6. Similarly I'm just offering up ideas and am in no way demanding you do things my way!!

I'm conscious that brief blog comments can sometimes come across as rudeness simply because of their brevity. Rest assured that's never my intention, Erin!

  7. Jimmy: I know. I was just saying that because I had to work for the rest of the day and realized I could add a couple things. I didn't think you were demanding anything.

Gary: I didn't think you were demanding either. I just want to make sure I'm more careful about posting spoilers in the future. I was recently spoiled on something rather big and it along with the comments the poster made really got to me. I'm more or less wondering when a good time to post reviews would be. I know Jimmy said that he always read his comics on Fridays for example.

  8. That is good that you didn't think I was being demanding. I don't want to be that guy.

I do read mine on Friday, but if you want to get your reviews up before that is fine. Some you might actually encourage me to read or sway me from not getting if I am on the fence. At least for the next month or two when I am trying way more than what I will stick with.

  9. I just voice my opinions. I don't like telling people they should or shouldn't buy something because taste differ. Hope you like the reviews at least.

  10. I do. I love the way that you do them. It just helps as I really didn't know what I wanted to buy during the reboot, and there is only so much $ to go around. I have said that a few times here though. You have influenced a buy or two this month though as this is the one time a year I have a few free dollars that are use them or lose them.
