30 Day Comic Book Challenge: Day 4

Day 04 - Your guilty pleasure comic or character.

I don't feel guilty for liking the comics or characters I like. I know many people hate the ones I enjoy. I guess the closest would be Max Lord. I liked him but I grew to love him more as Boosters' arch enemy in Justice League Generation Lost. Many would disagree with me but my unpopular opinion is that I'd prefer keeping him like that rather than bringing Ted back. I can see more being done with Max as a bad guy.

And no I don't hate Ted.

  1. I think right now it has to be Grifter. I catch hell at my LCS when I buy this. I know this will stop here after the next issue. The change of creative team is putting a stop to me buying it.

  2. Sorry to hear that. I hate when LCS gives people crap and when creative teams change.

  3. I must admit I hate the creative changes more. I like to be teased and tease people myself so that doesn't bother me too much with LCS. Actually felt like I belonged for the first time. I don't spend a ton of time in there because I want to get home to the wife and daughter.

  4. My favorite guilty pleasure just may have to be Deadshot. Especially as written by Gail Simone. Gosh, he's hilarious...and jaded. For that matter, I also like the original Doctor Polaris, the Shade and the Riddler.

  5. Jimmy: I've been lucky but I've heard some LCS are unfriendly. Still miss my old one.

Sally: I haven't read the first Dr. Polaris but I enjoyed the rest. Riddler is very underused.

  6. From about 2005 to 2009, a company called Digital Webbing would publish comics based on the Bloodrayne games. Some were better than others, but I enjoyed most of them, especially when they had writers who took the opportunity to add fun concepts to the universe.
