Batman disses the JLI

I haven't gotten a chance to talk about this yet but yeah I heard about it.

In Justice League (the one with Superman, Wonder Woman, etc.) Batman complains about JLI saying they need to be shut down. That he worked with them and their jokes. Which doesn't fit in with how Jurgens has been writing him. Either Johns is out of the loop or he's trying to make the government believe they don't want the JLI. Which still doesn't make sense because he called them jokes implying they were incompetent and Briggs was present when Batman gave his support of the team. Plus the JLI/Batman were filmed in action. It's likely they know he supported them.

Why would he stop supporting them? According to Jurgens (and what was written since JLI #1) Batman wants this group to succeed. It helps give the superhero community a leg up in PR and let's them keep tabs on the UN. All this does is make Batman look like he looks down at them because of their attack.

  1. Well...they are all kind of...jerks over at the Justice League. With the possible exception of Wonder Woman. THIS is the sort of thing that happens when you don't have Martian Manhunter around to keep them in line!

  2. I didn't understand it at all, but it is a mess with the timeline right now. I don't know what to make of it.

  3. Sally: Well I'm going to say it was either Zatanna messing with his memories or Barry screwing up the timeline.

Jimmy: Same here. I mean Johns is usually on top of things like this. I'd like to think he has at least a causal interest in Booster given his term on his book.
